My Martial Arts Journey & Legacy My martial arts journey began at the age of six, when I started studying traditional Okinawan martial arts. I trained consistently through my childhood and teenage years, progressing through the ranks and achieving my Junior Black Belt by the age of 16. From there, I transitioned into the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do, continuing my studies and dedication to traditional martial arts. Through years of training, discipline, and commitment, I progressed through the ranks and achieved and received my Adult Black Belt. In 2013, I began another important chapter in my martial arts journey by simultaneously training and studying Northern Mantis Shaolin Kung Fu and American Kenpo Karate. I dedicated myself to learning both systems in depth, progressing through each rank while demonstrating the required forms, katas, techniques, applications, and knowledge. After years of consistent training, testing, and dedication, I earned my Black Belt in 2017. I continued my training and studies, further developing my understanding of both systems and the lineage and traditions from which they came. In 2019, that continued dedication earned me my 2nd Degree Black Belt. Eventually, my martial arts path led me to part ways with my original school and establish my own martial arts training facility. Although I began creating my own path, I remained committed to preserving the lineage, teachings, heritage, and traditions that were passed down to me. In 2023, I achieved and received my 3rd Degree Black Belt, continuing to carry the knowledge, responsibility, and traditions of these arts while holding the titles of Sensei/Sifu. Today, my journey continues through teaching. I have the privilege of passing these teachings, techniques, traditions, and values on to my own students as they begin their own journey toward Black Belt. My goal is not simply to earn another rank. It is to preserve the lineage that came before me, continue its legacy, and help build the next generation of martial artists.
